If you find the only way that you can enjoy the mad ride is with a larger bet, then hop on for the roller coaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high rolling gambler will love the view from the monster crazy ride because they are not mentally processing the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few bettors adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that’s awesome, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to twist and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
